About CCCE
Mission Statement:
The Child Care Center of Evanston is a community-based organization whose mission is to strengthen families by providing high quality, affordable day care for their children. Its highest priority is to help children from all socioeconomic backgrounds gain the skills they need to succeed in school while fostering the shared community values of cooperation and respect for one another.
The Child Care Center of Evanston (CCCE) has two main programs for the care of young children. The Child Care Center of Evanston at 1840 Asbury Ave in Evanston, has five preschool classrooms caring for children age 2 through 5 years of age. Family Child Care Connections (FCCC) is a network of licensed home day care providers that contract with the Center to care for children age six weeks to three years of age.
The Child Care Center of Evanston (CCCE) is dedicated to the welfare and care of the infant, toddler and preschool age child who needs full day care away from home. The Center stives to provide an emotionally secure and physically safe atmosphere is a home away from home environment. CCCE is concerned with fostering the development of the whole child by:
- Providing for the care and well-being of the children in our care
- Encouraging the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child
- Increasing each child's awareness of self, others and the world in which (s)he lives
- Creating a positve climate and environment in which children, parents and staff can work, learn and grow together
