Enrollment Process

  • Family Child Care Connections of Evanston maintains a waiting list.

  • We advise parents that are expecting or have very young children to place their name on many waiting lists as soon as possible. There is less availability of infant slots compared with slots for children 10 months and older.

  • When Family Child Care Connections of Evanston has one or sometimes more than one opening within the network a family is contacted by the Program Director.

  • The family is given information about the current openings; location, date of opening and Family Child Care Connections Provider's individual information.

  • Families are then encouraged to call the Family Child Care Connections Provider to schedule a time to observe their program and interview with them in their home.

  • When the family chooses a Family Child Care Connections Provider's program that is the right fit for them, they contact the Program Director to schedule a time to complete the intake process.
