Hours of Operation

Each home is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Family Child Care Connections Program of Evanston is closed on the following holidays: Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day and the following day One week between Christmas Eve day and New Years Day

Individual Family Child Care Connections Providers may choose to close additional days for personal needs or family vacations. If the home closing is not an emergency, parents will be given notice ahead of time in order for families to make other arrangements. If the closing is an emergency, Family Child Care Connections will try to assist families with alternate childcare.

If Family Child Care Connections has availability in other homes within the network, parents can choose to use this option for alternative childcare. This option is not always guaranteed due to the fact that homes are required to follow child to provider ratios according to the DCFS licensing standards. If the program is enrolled to capacity it cannot offer alternate care. Best practice for parents is to have at least one back-up plan in case of an emergency.
