Montessori
Program
In 1987 the Child Care Center’s two-story coach house
was converted to a Montessori Children’s House. The second floor
of the house has a complete Montessori classroom with Practical Life,
Sensorial, Math, Language and Cultural Subjects areas.
| The twenty children enrolled
in our Montessori Children’s House eat, nap, and engage in
dramatic play, and art and cooking projects on the first floor of
the Children’s House.
They also participate in our outdoor classroom, the gross motor
room, the Art Institute project and the small group music and movement
sessions |

Our Montessori classroom
is a full affiliate of the American Montessori Society.
The director, Shirin Halani, is credentialed by
the American Montessori Society.
