Recognition

The Child Care Center of Evanston’s preschool program is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Current Child Care Center preschool teacher, Bettye Cohns was a recipient of the Kohl-McCormick Early Childhood teaching award in 2000, and former teacher, Melinda Daubitz won this award in 2001.

The Childcare Network of Evanston (CNE) honored Home Day Care Program provider, Jean Hood, in November 2005 and Kimberly and Willa Robison in 2006, with CNE’s Early Childhood Award.
